About

Creative director and UX strategist, working across brand, product and digital experience.

I’m most useful when a project doesn’t fit neatly into one discipline. I can step back to understand the business and the people it serves, organize the experience, set the visual direction, and then work through the details that bring it to life.

How I work

I bring an art director’s big-picture conceptual perspective together with a production director’s efficiency and attention to detail, balancing creative thinking with structure and execution.

My work is grounded in both craft and systems thinking: how design decisions influence behavior, shape experience and support meaningful human interaction.

I believe in teams over silos and listening over assuming, and I’ve seen how openly shared knowledge drives operational efficiency and stronger business outcomes. Different perspectives strengthen the thinking, and questions often reveal opportunities that assumptions miss.

I’m equal parts analytical and creative, and my math degree still influences how I approach problems. I look for patterns, connections and structure, then bring that thinking into the work.

I care about the quality of the work and the outcome, and I stay invested from the first idea to launch.

Outdoor roots

My outdoor roots run deep. I was a nationally ranked cross-country skier and two-time Olympic Trials finalist, and later coached and guided for the U.S. Paralympic Nordic Team.

Training taught me to work toward something bigger: breaking long-term goals into smaller ones, building the plan backward from race day, adapting along the way, and doing the work between milestones. I still plan projects that way.

What I’m exploring

I’m continually sharpening my toolkit, most recently in AI-assisted research and design workflows, which I’ve been exploring since 2023. I’m especially interested in how designers can shape the experience between people and the technology they use.

There’s always more to learn.

If there’s a mountain to climb or an ocean to navigate, I’m happy to help find a way forward.
